Overview

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the most effective classical treks in the Annapurna conservation area. You can observe the typical settlement of Nepali ethnic teams and their ancient life vogue from close to. Detail Itinerary

Day 1 -Arrival in Kathmandu (TIA) [1310m].

One of our representatives will pick you up at the airport and escort you to your hotel at Kathmandu, Nepal. There, you can take the day off and prepare your equipment for the upcoming trek. In the evening, you will be briefed about the journey in a welcome party hosted by the company. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 -Sightseeing in Kathmandu and trip preparation. Overnight at Hotel.

After breakfast, we will visit some of the world heritage sites of the Kathmandu Valley. We will explore Pashupati Nath, Boudha Nath, Swoyambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square to return back to the hotel for another overnight stay and final preparation of the trip.

Day 3 -Drive to Pokhara [970 m].

Early in the morning, we drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Nepal’s lake city. Our bus follows a winding road over the valley rim and descends onto the Trisuli River. The journey is slow and steady as the road winds through villages and passing terrace fields before reaching our destination.

        

Day 4 -Drive to Nayapul, trek to Ulleri [2,020 m].

After your breakfast at the hotel in Pokhara we begin our drive to Nayapul which is approximately 40 k.m. from Pokhara. The drive will take around 1 hour 30 min after which we will begin our trek. The first part of the trail takes us to Birethati where we will check in our ACAP permit and TIMS. We then cross the river at Birethati and head left along the gentle slope to Tikhedhunga where we cross the Bhurungdi Khola River on two suspension bridges. After crossing the river, we will start the steep climb to Ulleri where we will be spending the night.  (Drive 01-01:30 Hours). Trek (05-06 hrs). Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 5 -Trek to Ghorepani [2,810 m].

After breakfast we continue our trek towards Ghorepani through the settlements of Banthati and Nangethati. We also pass a spring inside the forest after Banthati. Crossing the spring by a bridge we continue towards our destination. Occasional views of the peaks give way to a narrower valley, passing through Rhododendron Forest then eventually reaching the village of Ghorepani where we spend a night. Trek (03-04 hrs). Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 6 -Trek to Chule [2,375 m] via Tadapani [2,630 m].

Your guide will check the weather forecast and tell you the sunrise time. We will hike up to Poonhill early in the morning and return to the tea house for breakfast. The sunrise from Ghorepani is said to be one of the best sunrises in the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu Himalayan Range which includes Nilgiri, Tukuche Peak, Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Barahi Shikhar, Machhapuchhre offer breathtaking views.

After breakfast, we continued trekking towards Chuile. The first part of the trek is an ascend to Thabala Hill from where we will observe magnificent views of the Himalayas. We will then descend to Deurali where we will pass a few teahouses and continue towards Banthanti where we will have our lunch. The trail then descends to a river from where we again climb up to Tadapani from where we take a left towards Chule. Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 7 -Trek to Chhomrong [2,170 m].

The day begins on a sheer path inside the Rhododendron forests after your breakfast and onto the terraced fields which seem stunning. We then climb unwaveringly passing exalted waterfalls and cross a suspension bridge. The trail ahead is a fixture of ups and downs finally reaching Chhomrong, our final destination for the day. It is a beautiful village located on the lap of the giant Annapurna massive. Overnight in Chhomrong. Trek 04-05 hours (Trek). Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 8 -Trek to Dovan [2,630m].

After your breakfast, we will continue ahead on the trail to Annapurna Base Camp descending to Chhomrong Khola where we cross the river on a suspension bridge. The path then is a climb to Kuldi via Tilche and Sinuwa. From Kuldi (3,350m) we trek downwards on a steep staircase towards the settlement of Bamboo Lodge (2,340m). After our lunch at bamboo, we head alongside the west bank of Modi Khola with the trail gradually going upwards. We finally settle to Dovan where we will be spending the night. Trek (04-05 hrs). Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 9 -Trek to Machhapuchare Base camp [3,700 m].

From Deurali the trail is much more wide and gentle. The trail enters the Sanctuary to encounter the Modi Khola once again. We follow the river again till Bagar, a meadow at an elevation og 3,310 meters above sea level. From Bagar we head up towards Machhapuchare base camp (3,720m), our final destination for the day. This is the foot of the famous mountain Fish Tail whose peak is as similar to the tail of a fish. Trek 04-05 hours. Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 10 -Trek to Annapurna Base camp [4,130 m].

Today is the main highlight of the trek where we will be heading towards the highest point of the trek, Annapurna Base Camp at an elevation of 4,130 meters. It will take around 2-3 hours to reach Annapurna Base Camp from here. We begin our trek after breakfast on the trail that offers splendid views of Annapurna giants and other surrounding mountains. After we arrive at the Base Camp the entire area is surrounded by mountains which are perfect to take some pictures for memory. We reach Annapurna Base Camp before noon allowing us to have plenty of time to enjoy nature. Overnight stay at Annapurna Base Camp. Tea House. Trek 02-03 hours). Overnight stay at Tea House

Day 11 -Trek to Bambo or Sinuwa [2,340 m].

After spending a night at the Base Camp we retrace our footsteps back to Bamboo on the same trail we used to get to the Base Camp. The trail today is quite easy as it will be mostly downhill. If possible we will trek further ahead to Sinuwa. We will have marvelous sceneries always cheering us while we retrace our footsteps back to Bamboo. Overnight in Bamboo. Trek 7-8 hours. Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 12 -Trek to Jhinu Danda.

After your breakfast we will resume our trek towards Jhinu Danda where the hot water springs are waiting for us. We will ascend to Kuldighar followed by a descend to Chhomromg Khola. The hot spring at Jhinu Danda is a perfect medicine to heal your aching body after a long trek. We can spend our remaining time relaxing at the hot spring in Jhinu Danda. Overnight in Jhinu Danda. Trek 04-05 hours. Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 13 -Trek to Pothana [1,890 m]

The trail today is comparatively very easy to Potana. We walk through New Bridge, Landruk, Bhedikharkha, and Deurali to finally reach Pothana. Pothana is a village at an elevation of 2,005 meters offering a marvelous view of the Annapurna Himalayan Range and Fishtail. Overnight in Pothana. Trek 06-07 hours. Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 14 -Trek to Phedi [1,130 m] and drive to Pokhara [970 m].

It is a short hike on this day. We begin our trek after your breakfast towards Dhampus from where the trail is steep downhill towards Phedi. From Phedi, we drive towards Pokhara which is regarded as one of the beautiful cities of Nepal.  Trek for 2-3 hours and drive 30 Minutes. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 15 -Morning sightseeing in Pokhara, evening fly back to Kathmandu [1,338m].

In the morning after breakfast, we do Pokhara city sightseeing which includes Phewa Lake, boating, David’s Falls, Mahendra Cave, Bats Cave, and World Peace stupa. After finishing those, we back to Kathmandu by flight. Overnight at Kathmandu hotel. 

Day 16 -Departure.

A representative from our company Nepal will drop you off at the airport. Return home with the memories that last a lifetime.

BEST SEASON/ TIME

Mid-April to early June is viewed as the best time for traveling the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. During this period, the weather conditions are for the most part steady, and the temperatures are moderate. The rhododendron blossoms are in full sprout, adding variety to the scene. There are quite a lot of food facilities in the Annapurna region. The Nepali Local food and cuisines to International cuisines are relevant in these areas. The local food such as Dal-Bhat( Lentil Soup) and (Rice) is a typical Nepali often served with vegetables and pickles and is served with meat such as (chicken, mutton), etc. The international food comprises western and international dishes such as Pizza, Burgers, Sandwiches, and more.
