After breakfast, hike to Paro Taktsang, also known as Tiger’s Nest, a famous Buddhist temple complex perched 3,120 meters above sea level on a cliff in the upper Paro valley. This iconic monastery is a cultural symbol of Bhutan and offers breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys. Legend says Guru Rinpoche, an 8th-century spiritual master, arrived here on a tigress’s back and meditated in a cave for three months, where the monastery stands today.
