The Everest Base Camp Trek (EBC) Trek is a popular trekking route that takes to the base camp of Mt. Everest, the tallest peak in the world. Everest Base Camp Trek is located in the Khumbu region of Nepal which offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan Mountain range, Sagarmatha National Park as well as different Monasteries. Everest Base Camp Trek is a challenging trek that goes up to the altitude of 5364m altitude which needs 2 days of Acclimatization in different places during the trek.
The trek usually starts from Lukla, a small town in the Solukhumbu district of Nepal, and follows the Dudhkoshi River valley. Throughout the trek, we’ll pass through picturesque villages, monasteries, and rhododendron forests, immersing ourselves in the local culture and natural beauty of the region.
During the trek, we’ll experience the majesty of the Himalayas, including peaks like Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Cho-Oyu, Mt. Makalu, and Mt. Amadablam. Reaching Everest Base Camp itself is a great achievement, as it sits at an altitude of 5,364 meters (17,598 feet) and provides a close-up view of the mighty Everest. Keep in mind that this trek requires a moderate level of fitness and acclimatization to the high altitude.
It typically takes about 12-15 days to complete the Everest Base Camp Trek, including rest days for acclimatization. The best time to undertake this trek is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to December) seasons, when the weather is generally more stable.

We first visit Pashupatinath Temple which we Hindu People Considered as “The God of Destroyer”. Only Hindu Devotees are allowed to enter, we will visit outside of Pashupatinath Temple. Nearby Pashupatinath, there is holy river Bagmati where many Hindu devotees do ritual culture, the dead bodies are cremated over here. After finishing Hindu Temple, we drive to Buddhist Stupa as “Bouddhanath Stupa”. Bouddhanath Stupa is considered as the Largest Stupa of the World listed on UNESCO Heritage sites. In the past, it was considered as the gateway for Nepal-Tibet trade business. We will visit Bouddhanath Stupa and around museum.
After Bouddhanath Stupa, we drive to another Boddhist Temple “Swayambhunath Stupa”. The place is at the top of hill cliff in between the jungle. As it lies in between the jungle, there is more monkey so the place is also called as “Monkey Temple’. It is the combination of Buddhist places and Hindu places which defines the diversity among the religion in Nepal.
After completing Swayambhunath Stupa, we drive to Kathmandu durbar Square and explore. It is the combination of Cultural and Historical museum to every travelers. We will visit Living Goddess “Kumari”, Museum, and many more surrounding temples and finally back to hotel and prepare for the next day trip to Lukla
In the mid night, we drive to Ramechhap where the flight to Lukla operates. Its 4 hrs. driving route. As per the schedule Himalayan flight, we fly to Lukla. from there, our trekking to Everest Base Camp Starts.
Today is the first day so we trek a small distance to Phakding. we will embark on an easy trek to the village of Phakding, enjoying our first view of the Himalayas. Along the way, we will cross suspension bridges and pass by prayer stones. Overnight at a teahouse.
After having breakfast at Phakding hotel, we start our trek to Gateway “Namche-Bazzar”. The path to our destination, Bazaar, is steep and uphill, featuring long suspension bridges. Along the way, we encounter prayer wheels and signs, and are treated to breathtaking views of snowcapped mountains and flowing rivers. Bazaar is a bustling town with a variety of local stores. Overnight at a teahouse.
As we reached to the altitude of 3440m from the Kathmandu. we need one day for acclimatize the climate. so we rest here. We’ll explore the bazaar, visit nearby museums and monasteries and enjoy coffee shops and bakeries with Wi-Fi. After having lunch, we hike to Everest View hotel (The hotel at the Highest Point of the World” and take some teas/coffees and enjoy the Views of Himalayas from there. In the Evening, We will see the sunset from the top of Himalayas and back to Namche and Overnight after having Dinner.
After having breakfast at Namche Bazzar, we continue trek to Tengboche. First we ascend down towards Dudhkoshi River up to Pungi Thanka. Then we trek slowly to up hills and reached to Tengboche. At that time, you will be standing in between Highest Peaks “Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, and Mt. Everest”. The mountain peaks are looking your footsteps and your movement and waiting to reached to their foot. After reaching to Tengboche, we will visit old Tengboche Monastery from where you will see the best view of Mount Everest and Mount Amadablam.
After having breakfast at Tengboche hotel, we continue trek to Dingboche. We will see the great view of Sunrise view from Amadablam side. Then We begin with a gentle descent on a wide path, passing through lush alpine trees and red rhododendron forest. As we ascend, we’ll enjoy panoramic views of valleys and rushing streams below. After a 7-hour hike, we’ll reach Dingboche. Overnight at the tea house.
We take a rest day in Dingboche to acclimatize to the changing climate. After having breakfast, we will hike to the Nagerjun hills and catch the panoramic views of the mountains around us. At a height of 5100 meters, Nagerjun Hill is a beautiful viewpoint in the Everest locale. From there, we will get some fantastic views of lofty peaks such as Lobuche, Thamserku, Taboche, Kangtega, Mt. Amadablam, Nuptse, Cholatse, and many others in the range. The hike is also a golden opportunity to get a striking glance at Mt. Makalu, the fifth-highest mountain in the world. After some refreshing moments spent on the hill, we get down to exploring the settlements in Dingboche.
After having breakfast at Dingboche, we trek to Lobuche. We follow a trail between wide valleys until we get to Dughla. After passing some yak pastures, we reach Lobuche. We’ll witness clear streams and majestic peaks surrounding the barren Khumbu Region. The welcoming people of Lobuche make it a gateway to the Everest Base Camp. Overnight at the tea house.
Our waiting is finally over. Today, we will touch foot of Mount Everest and climb the big stone of Everest Base Camp Trek. At first, we will be trekking through the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and arrive at the beautiful Gorakhshep Village – a village surrounded by snow-capped mountains. We leave our belongings at Gorakhshep and hike up to the Base Camp. This is the closest we can ever get to the highest mountain in the world. We will savor the incredible views from EBC, take pictures of the surroundings, reflect on the memories and your achievements, and then head back to Gorakhshep. Along the way, you will also see the highest glacier in the world – the Khumbu Glacier.
Early morning, we will ascend Kalapathar to witness the breathtaking sunrise view of Mt. Everest. Kalapathar is the best point for panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, despite being just a pile of rocks and dust. We will take the pictures of all the possible mountain peaks and back to Gorakhshep. After breakfast in Gorakhshep, we trek to the village of Pheriche. The hike is relatively easy, mostly downhill on a flat surface. Along the way, we encounter a memorial honoring those who lost their lives attempting to summit Everest. It’s a long and challenging day, involving an ascent and descent of one thousand meters. Overnight at a tea house.
After breakfast, we descend towards the Sherpa village Namche Bazzar. We return the same way that we follow during going to our destination. The descent involves crossing multiple suspension bridges, covering a drop of nearly 1000 meters. It will be a demanding and lengthy trek.
After having breakfast, we trek back to Lukla; the flight station. We will cross the villages of Cheplung, Ghat and Phakding to arrive at the Lukla village. We follow the same rugged path to reach Lukla where we will stop for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we will fly either to the Ramechhap or Kathmandu as per the schedule flight and drive to Kathmandu on available vehicle. After completing hotel check-in formality, you have rest time. You can either rest at hotel or message or Spa or Local explore.
Evening, we organize Farewell Dinner in Nepali Traditional restaurant with company representative as well as Your trekking Guide. we will enjoy the Dinner with traditional cultural dance. Overnight at Hotel.
After having breakfast at hotel, Our company representative (Mostly Same Guide) will drop you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure.
The best season/time to visit the Everest Base Camp Trek is on pre-monsoon and post-monsoon i.e., from March to May and September to November respectively. In Spring, weather conditions are gentle, and the temperatures are generally steady. The traveling trails are embellished with blossoming rhododendrons and different wildflowers. Clear skies give superb perceivability, offering amazing perspectives on the encompassing Himalayas. Fall is one more ideal time for traveling to Everest Base Camp. The weather conditions are dry, and the skies are clear, giving shocking perspectives on the mountains. In the Everest Base Camp Trek, the accessibility of food is basically in teahouses and hotels along the traveling course. Trek trek starts from Lukla which is of 2860 m and while going forward, the Altitude of Everest Base Camp is 5364m where as maximum altitude is at Kalapathar which is of at 5645m.
As we are trekking in mountain altitude so proper acclimatization is required. We have two days for Acclimatization during Everest Base Camp Trek. First, we have acclimatize day on Namche bazar ; During that day, we do small hike to Everest View hotel (3960 m) for Breakfast and View Point.
Next, We have another acclimatize day on Dingboche. We can climb do the hike of Nangkartshang Peak, standing at an altitude of 5,083 meters. The journey to the top is expected to take around 2 to 3 hours. Upon reaching the summit, we’ll be treated to stunning vistas of Mt. Tawache, Amadablam, Island Peak, Lhotse, Everest, and Pumori. Additionally, there’s the chance to explore Chhukung Ri (5546m), a highly sought-after hiking destination in the Khumbu Valley.
Accommodation is in tea houses along the trek route. Rooms are generally twin-sharing with attached bathrooms and hot showers available in Lukla, Phakding, and Namche.
We provide Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner from menu. Most of our trekkers focused on main dishes for energy that we need more energy to complete trekking. We provide pieces of seasonal fruits as Desert after Dinner. We will provide Tea/Coffee/Hot Lemon three times a day.
The total transportation use during the package is all Private. During peak season like, March to May and September to November; the flight to Lukla operates from Ramechhap so the up/down transportation from Ramechhap also include in Package.
During Low Season like December-February and June – September, the flight operates from Kathmandu so directly flight to Lukla
The package includes Sagarmatha National Park Permits, VDC Permit, and TIMS Fee. Trekkers need to bring two passport-size photos for the permit.
The package excludes lunch and dinner in Kathmandu, cold drinks, snacks, personal trekking equipment, WiFi during the trek, travel insurance, tips, international airfare, and Nepal Entry Visa.
The trek spans 15 days, starting from arrival in Kathmandu, trekking to Everest Base Camp, and concluding with the departure from Lukla.
Yes, one porter is provided for every two people. The package covers their food, accommodation, salary, equipment, and accidental insurance.
