It is the shortest and sweet trekking around the Annapurna region with the best view of Annapurna Range.  This trekking is fit for all age group from child to old ones. The treks start from the beautiful city Pokhara and ends at Pokhara after getting the Annapurna range view.

During the trek, Poon hill at the altitude of (3,210m) is maximum altitude and is the viewpoint of almost every mountain of Annapurna region such as Mountains such as Annapurna (8,091m), Dhaulagiri (8,127m), Annapurna South (7,219m), Machapuchare (6,993m), Hinchuli, Annapurna III, Dhampus peak, Dhaulagiri II, and many other tall peaks can be seen from here.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1 -Kathmandu Arrival.

One of my company representatives will be waiting at Tribhuvan International Airport to welcome you. As you come out from the Airport gate, he/she will greet you in the traditional Nepali way and take you to your respective hotel. You have a free day in the afternoon. We have a welcome dinner at Nepali Traditional Restaurant with a Traditional Cultural Program in the evening. 

Day 2 -Kathmandu Sightseeing, Trekking Preparation.

Today we have to send day at Kathmandu. We don’t make your day waste. We will take you to heritage sites of Kathmandu. First, we can visit Lord Shiva Temple “Pashupati Nath Temple”. One of the main Hindu pilgrimage Site. Then we visit Swayambhu Nath Stupa (Buddhist Pilgrimage site). After Swayambhu, we visit oldest royal palace and Museum and conclude our city tour. We back to hotel and do our bag packed and shopping whatever needed during trekking. 

Day 3 -Drive to Pokhara via rafting on Trishuli River

After morning breakfast at hotel, we drive to Pokhara. On the way, there is running river rafting point. If someone interested to do rafting, you can do. Then we take our lunch on the rafting point and continue our journey to Pokhara. After reaching to Pokhara, check-in at hotel and rest. 

Day 4 -Drive to Nayapul and start trek to Ulleri.

Today is our first day of trekking. We drive up to Nayapul on private vehicle after breakfast and then continue our first day trek. The trekkers will be excited to start first day trek, so we go ascending the trail following a lot of stairs or paved paths. We take our lunch on Birethati and continue our trek for Ulleri. The trekking from Nayapul to Ulleri is 6-7 hrs. following the dense pine and Rhododron forest and small village.

Day 5 -Trek to Ghorepani.

After morning breakfast, we trek to Beautiful Gurung Ghorepani. The trekking trail cross multiple suspension bridges and walk through gorges and rain forests. It is a mixture of uphill and downhill and might be lucky enough to witness a few animals on the trail. We face many donkeys carrying loads on their back on the way as donkeys are the means of potters to carry items for remote village. 

Day 6 -Hike to Poonhill, Observe Sunrise and Trek to Tadapani

In Early morning, we hike to the top of hill cliff to see the sunrise view over head of mountains. From Poonhill, you will see more than twenty mountains and mountains range with golden colored due to first rays of sun. So, the Poonhill is also called viewpoint. After observing Sunrise, we back to Ghorepani hotel and take our morning breakfast. 

After sunrise we return to Ghorepani, have breakfast and leave for Tadapani. The trail leading to Tadapani goes through a thick forest of pines and rhododendron. we will climb onto a village called Derail and descent to Tadapani, where we spend the night. The average distance you have to walk to get to Tadapani from Ghorepani is about 9km on average and requires about 6 hours walk.

Day 7 -Trek To Ghandruk.

Today a short day walk till lunch time to Ghandruk village, morning enjoy the grand view of Annapurna peaks. Start the walk through beautiful forest on a nice gradual path, reaching a small settlement Bhaise-Kharka. From here descent to a stream, and then on winding gradual path. As downhill continues reaching Ghandruk village for lunch and overnight stop.

Ghandruk, a large Gurung village and the gateway to various adventure around Annapurna region. At Ghandruk explore the village and interact with the local and observe the typical farm life and culture. Visit the small museum with good information of the Annapurna region and of Gurung tradition heritage.

Day 8 -Trek to Nayapul.

Morning splendid view of Annapurna range and Mansalu Himal with the sunrise. We leave the village late morning after exploring morning sunrise view. we walk slowly as today is the last day of walk. we enjoyed our trekking moment and followed the trails for 6-7 hrs. After nayapul, we drive to Pokhara city and rest at hotel. 

Day 9 - Pokhara City Sightseeing.

After breakfast at Pokhara, we have Pokhara sightseeing. We will visit Phewa lake, boating on Phewa lake, visit Bindabisini Temple, Visit David’s falls, bats Cave, Guptashor Mahadev and World ‘s peak stupa. After stupa, we conclude our today city tour. Back to hotel and rest. You can go for shopping.

Day 10 -Explore Pokhara city, Afternoon fly to Kathmandu.

In the morning, we drive to kusma. Kusma is the largest suspension bridge that is the bungee spots and other exciting games. If you are interested in games, you can participate. Otherwise back to city and fly to Kathmandu. Rest at Kathmandu. 

Day 11 -Departure.

After breakfast, we take you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure.

BEST SEASON/ TIME

March to May is one of the best times to trek in the Ghorepani – Poonhill region. Spring falls during this time and the weather is mild with temperatures being pleasant. The skies are generally clear, offering excellent views of the surrounding mountains. September to November (Autumn) is another favorable time for the trek. The weather is stable, and the skies are clear, providing stunning views of the Himalayan peaks. The temperatures are moderate, making it comfortable for trekking.

Spring is characterized by relatively stable weather conditions with clear skies and excellent visibility. The chances of precipitation are lower compared to other seasons, reducing the risk of rain or snow during the trek. Fall is portrayed by dry and stable atmospheric conditions. The skies are by and large clear, giving astounding perceivability and all-encompassing perspectives on the mountains.

PERMIT
  1. International tourists must obtain a tourist visa to enter which can be obtained on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. The visa is generally valid for 15, 30, or 90 days, and extensions are possible.
  2. TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System) is a standard requirement for most trekking routes in Nepal which needs to be filled. It helps in maintaining a record of trekkers and provides emergency assistance if needed.
  3. The Annapurna Conservation Area Permit is required is also required.
