Detail Itinerary

Day 1 - Kathmandu Arrival.

After landing on Tribhuvan International Airport, our company representative greets you with seasonal flower Garland and take you to respective hotel. After completing hotel check-in formalities, you have a free day. You can either rest in the room or visit local market

 

Day 2 - Kathmandu Heritage sightseeing and trekking preparation.

After breakfast at hotel, we start our day with sightseeing around city site. First, we visit “Pashupatinath Temple” which we consider as the Greatest Heritage of Hindu Pilgrimage. Then we visit two Buddhist Stupa known as Bouddhanath Stupas and Swayambhunath Stupa. As Bouddhanath Stupa is known as the World’s largest Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa is known Originated Originally. Then we visit oldest Royal palace of Kathmandu” Kathmandu Durbar Square” and “Royal Museum”. We conclude our city sightseeing and back to hotel.  You can pack your luggage for trekking and shopping your pocket food like chocolate and biscuits.

Day 3 - Fly to Lukla, Trek to Phakding.

Early morning, we drive to Manthali for domestic flight to Lukla. Then we fly to Lukla. We observe scenic world highest peak, many glaciers and amazing natural vegetation from the flight. After landing on Tenzin-Hillary airport of Lukla, we take our breakfast and start our first day trek to Phakding. Trekkers can see the amazing view of Kongde peak from Lukla and mount Kusum Kanguru peak from Thado Koshi gaon. The absolute happiness to this place is the nature, feeling of being surrounded by mountains and the Sherpa people.

Day 4 - Trekking to Namche Bazar.

After breakfast at Phakding, we trek to Namche Bazar following bank of Dudh-koshi River and cross suspension bridge. The trek contains amazing natural scenery with high mountains. We will see the first view of Mt. Everest. We will visit Sagarmatha National Park and continue trek to Namche Bazar.

Day 5 - Acclimatization in Namche Bazar.

Today is the rest day as we already at the altitude of 3440m. So, we have one day to explore Namche Bazar. There are many monasteries and Gomba after hiking for 2-3 hrs. So, we hike to Everest View Hotel and observe the best Mt. Everest and many Tibetan Monasteries and Gomba. After finishing those we back to Namche Bazar and overnight.

Day 6 - Trek to Dole.

After breakfast, we start our trek to Dole. The path from Namche to Dole is full of Rhododendrons and alpine trees surrounded by snowy caps. We pass through the Kyanjuma Village, a rocky mountainous path above the spiritual river, Dudh-Koshi River takes us to Dole. At Dole, we will enjoy the stunning sunset from most of the mountains. The peaks appearance otherworldly inside the sundown.

Day 7 - Trek to Machhermo.

Today, we hike up to the altitude of 4450m. The treks take approximately 5 hours. From Dole we climb steadily along the aspect of the valley where small and thorny bushes give way to scrub juniper as the altitude increases. The trail passes many summer settlements. We will see the majestic views of Cho Oyu, while back down the valley are the peaks of Kantega and Thamserku. This is a short day, and you will arrive at Machhermo in time for lunch. 

Day 8 - Trek to Gokyo Lake.

Today trekking is our targeted destination “ Gokyo Lake”. We start our trek after breakfast. Its 5 hrs. journey from Machhermo to Gokyo lake. We follow a very scenic path to Pangka and then descend slightly, following one of the melted-water. Rivers flow down the west side of the Ngozumpa Glacier. We climb a steep rocky incline into the valley by the side of the glacier, passing the first of the holy lakes. We soon arrive at the second of the lakes, crossing the path which heads across the glacier to Cho La (5420m.), Our route to Lobuche and Everest and later in the trek. The third lake is known as Dudh Pokhari and on its eastern shore is the settlement of Gokyo.

Day 9 - Hike to Gokyo-Ri and back to Machhermo.

Today after breakfast, we hike to Gokyo-Ri village. It is a small village through which we have impressive displays of the entire Everest Region. The Gokyo village, Gokyo lakes, and various towering alpines will keep us amazed. Four of the eight-thousand peak are visible from Gokyo Ri.

After the fabulous panoramic view, we’ll get down to the base of Ngozumpa Glacier passing narrow side of the glacier and water flowing along the trail. As we leave the Gokyo valley, the first of the five Gokyo Lakes will bid a farewell to us. We’ll cross three of the Gokyo Lakes while descending to Machhermo. The lakes may be wholly or partly frozen. But the lakes are beautiful, no matter frozen or melted. After crossing all the lakes, you’ll see Machhermo arriving.

Day 10 - Trek back to Namche Bazar.

Our trek follows the path of downhill. We will trek for 6-7 hours covering 10.8 kilometers. Firstly, we will descend down to Phortse Tenga. Then trek along forests that are full of rhododendron, pine, and local incense. There is a steep uphill to Monglo. From Monglo, trek gently to Khumjung. The path from Khumjung to Namche (3440 meters) is firstly quite flat and then a slow descent.

Day 11 - Trek back to Lukla.

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2886 m.) takes about six hours. The last day of your trek leads from Namche Bazaar via Monjo to Lukla. The trek is pleasant, except for a few short uphill climbs and then down to the Bhote-Koshi River crossing it three times. The last uphill climb of 45 minutes will bring you to Lukla for your overnight stay. Stay overnight in lodge.

Day 12 - Fly back to Kathmandu, explore Kathmandu.

After having breakfast at Lukla hotel, we fly to Ramechhap on our schedule flight and take a local transportation and check-in to our respective hotel.  In the Evening,  We organize farewell Dinner in Traditional Nepali Restaurants with trekking Guide and share the memories and feedbacks. After Dinner, we back to hotel and Overnight. 

Day 13 - Departure.

After breakfast, we take you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure as per your flight schedule.

BEST SEASON/ TIME

Spring and Autumn are the two best seasons to trek the Everest Gokyo Lake Trek. During these seasons, the weather is relatively stable, and the visibility is good, allowing you to enjoy breathtaking views of the Everest region. trekking.

WEATHER

During the Autumn season, temperatures can range from mild to cool during the daytime, typically between 50 to 59 degrees Fahrenheit at lower altitudes. As you ascend, temperatures can drop, and at higher elevations, they can range from  23 to 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Spring is characterized by milder temperatures, especially at lower elevations. Daytime temperatures can range from 59 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit, while nighttime temperatures can drop to around 23 degrees Fahrenheit at higher altitudes.

PERMIT
  1. Sagarmatha National Park Permit: This permit is mandatory for entering Sagarmatha National Park, which is where the Everest Gokyo Lakes trek is situated. The national park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the permit is issued at the park entrance.
