Detail Itinerary

Day 1 - Flight from Kathmandu to Paro, Bhutan.

Upon arrival in Paro from Kathmandu, Nepal, you’ll be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring the charming town and acclimatizing to the altitude.

Day 2 - Sightseeing in Paro.

Visit the historic Rinpung Dzong, a fortress-monastery that dates back to the 17th century, and the National Museum, which showcases Bhutanese art and culture. In the afternoon, hike to the famous Tiger’s Nest monastery, perched on a cliff 900 meters above the Paro valley.

Day 3 - Drive to Shana and Trek to Thangthangkha.

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Shana, the starting point of our trek. The trail follows the Paro River through beautiful forests of oak, rhododendron, and pine. We’ll stop for lunch by the river before continuing on to Thangthangkha, a small campsite surrounded by stunning mountain views.

Day 4 - Trek to Jangothang.

Today’s trek takes us through more beautiful forests and over a few small streams. As we ascend, the views of Jhomolhari and other snow-capped peaks become more prominent. We’ll reach Jangothang, a large campsite surrounded by high mountains and grazing yaks.

Day 5 - Acclimatization Day in Jangothang.

Take a rest day in Jangothang to acclimatize to the altitude and explore the area. You can hike up to the nearby glacier or visit the yak herders’ camps.

Day 6 - Trek to Lingshi.

Today’s trek takes us over the Nyile La Pass (4,890m), where we’ll be rewarded with stunning views of Jhomolhari and other snow-capped peaks. We’ll then descend to the Lingshi valley, a beautiful valley dotted with traditional Bhutanese houses.

Day 7 - Trek to Shodu.

We’ll continue our trek through beautiful forests of juniper and rhododendron, crossing several small streams along the way. The trail climbs up to the Yeli La Pass (4,930m) before descending to Shodu, a small campsite by a river.

Day 8 - Trek to Barshong.

Today’s trek takes us through beautiful forests of pine, hemlock, and cedar, with occasional views of waterfalls and streams. We’ll pass by several traditional Bhutanese villages before reaching Barshong, a small campsite surrounded by high cliffs.

Day 9 - Trek to Dolam Kencho.

Our final day of trekking takes us through more beautiful forests and past several small waterfalls. We’ll reach Dolam Kencho, a small campsite by a river, in the early afternoon.

Day 10 - Drive to Thimphu.

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. Along the way, we’ll stop at the Dochula Pass, where we’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the Himalayan range. In Thimphu, we’ll visit the National Memorial Chorten, a beautiful stupa that honors Bhutan’s third king.

Day 11 - Departure.

After breakfast, we’ll transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
