Detail Itinerary

Day 1 -Arrival in Kathmandu.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the city and preparing for the trek.

Day 2 -Drive to Pokhara.

After breakfast, you will drive to Pokhara, a beautiful city located 200km west of Kathmandu. The drive will take approximately 6-7 hours, during which you can enjoy scenic views of lush green hills and rivers. You will spend the night in a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 3 -Drive to Nayapul and trek to Ghandruk (1,940m).

After a one-hour drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, you will start your trek towards Ghandruk. The trail passes through picturesque villages and lush forests, and you will get to enjoy stunning views of the Annapurna range. Ghandruk is a traditional Gurung village with a rich cultural heritage, and you will spend the night here.

Day 4 -Trek to Tadapani (2,610m).

After breakfast, you will start trekking towards Tadapani, which is located at an altitude of 2,610m. The trail passes through dense forests of rhododendron and oak, and you will get to see stunning views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain) along the way.

Day 5 -Trek to Dobato (3,350m).

Today’s trek is a bit more challenging as you will be gaining significant altitude. You will pass through dense forests and cross several streams before reaching Dobato, which is located at an altitude of 3,350m. You will spend the night here.

Day 6 -Trek to Upper Chistibung (2,975m).

Today’s trek is relatively short and easy, and you will reach Upper Chistibung in just a few hours. You will get to enjoy stunning views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges along the way.

Day 7 -Trek to Khopra Danda (3,640m).

Today’s trek is the highlight of the trip as you will be trekking to Khopra Danda, which offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. You will also get to see the famous Khayer Lake, which is considered a holy site by the locals. You will spend the night in a teahouse at Khopra Danda.

Day 8 -Explore Khopra Danda and Khayer Lake.

Today is a rest day, and you will get to explore the beautiful Khopra Danda and Khayer Lake. You can hike to the nearby hills for better views of the mountains or interact with the locals and learn about their culture and lifestyle.

Day 9 - Trek to Swanta Village (2,200m).

After breakfast, you will start trekking towards Swanta Village. The trail descends through beautiful forests and small villages, and you will get to see stunning views of the mountains along the way.

Day 10 -Rest day at Swanta.

Today is a rest day at Swanta village. You can use this day to explore the village, interact with the locals, and learn about their lifestyle and culture. You can also go for a short hike to nearby areas and enjoy the views of the mountains.

Day 11 -Trek from Swanta to Ulleri (2,050m/6,725ft).

5-6 Hours After breakfast, we start our trek towards Ulleri. The trail descends through the dense forest and takes us to the suspension bridge over the Modi Khola River. We cross the bridge and continue uphill to reach the village of Ulleri. Along the way, we get to enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains and the beautiful landscapes. Overnight stay at a teahouse in Ulleri.

Day 12 -Trek from Ulleri to Nayapul (1,070m/3,510ft) and drive to Pokhara.

4-5 Hours On the last day of the trek, we start early in the morning and trek downhill through the forested trail to Nayapul. This will be our final day of the trek, and we will have lunch in Nayapul before driving back to Pokhara. In Pokhara, we can relax and explore the city. Overnight stay at a hotel in Pokhara.

BEST SEASON/ TIME

March to May is one of the best times to trek in the Khopra Trek. Spring falls during this time and the weather is mild with temperatures being pleasant. The skies are generally clear, offering excellent views of the surrounding mountains. September to November (Autumn) is another favorable time for the trek. The weather is stable, and the skies are clear, providing stunning views of the Himalayan peaks. The temperatures are moderate, making it comfortable for trekking.

Spring is characterized by relatively stable weather conditions with clear skies and excellent visibility. The chances of precipitation are lower compared to other seasons, reducing the risk of rain or snow during the trek. Fall is portrayed by dry and stable atmospheric conditions. The skies are by and large clear, giving astounding perceivability and all-encompassing perspectives on the mountains.

PERMIT
  1. International tourists must obtain a tourist visa to enter which can be obtained on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. The visa is generally valid for 15, 30, or 90 days, and extensions are possible.
  2. TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System) is a standard requirement for most trekking routes in Nepal which needs to be filled. It helps in maintaining a record of trekkers and provides emergency assistance if needed.
  3. The Annapurna Conservation Area Permit is required is also required.
AVAILABLE FOOD/MEALS

The accessibility of food is basically in teahouses and hotels along the traveling course. Remember that the choices are restricted because of the distant area and the difficult states of the region.
