You can expect breathtaking views of the Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, and Mardi Himal, along with the opportunity to explore the culture and traditions of the local communities. The trek is suitable for most fitness levels, but there are some steep and challenging sections. The highlight of the trek is the trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp, which offers stunning views of the Mardi Himal and its surroundings. After the trek, you’ll get to explore Pokhara, the lakeside city, and relax in its peaceful ambiance. Overall, the Mardi Himal Trek offers a unique and off-the-beaten-path experience in the Annapurna region.
Mardi Himal Trek trek usually takes about 10-12 days, depending on your itinerary and pace. This trek is considered to be a moderate trek, suitable for most fitness levels. However, the trail can be steep and challenging at times, especially as you ascend to High Camp and Mardi Himal Base Camp.
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. You can rest and explore the city at your leisure.
You’ll have a full day of sightseeing in Kathmandu, where you’ll visit several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Swayambhunath. In the evening, you’ll attend a pre-trek briefing with your guide.
After breakfast, you’ll drive to Pokhara, which takes about 6-7 hours. You’ll have the rest of the day to explore Pokhara and its lakeside area.
After a short drive to Phedi, you’ll start your trek to Deurali. The trail passes through dense forests and several small villages before reaching Deurali, where you’ll stay overnight.
Today’s trek takes you through dense forests of oak, rhododendron, and bamboo. You’ll pass by several small streams and waterfalls before reaching Forest Camp, where you’ll spend the night.
The trek from Forest Camp to Low Camp is relatively short, and the trail offers excellent views of Machhapuchhre and the Annapurna range. You’ll spend the night at Low Camp.
Today’s trek is relatively steep and challenging as you ascend to High Camp. The trail passes through alpine forests and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. You’ll stay overnight at High Camp.
Today, you’ll hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp, which offers breathtaking views of Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre, and Annapurna South. After spending some time at the base camp, you’ll return to High Camp for overnight stay.
Today’s trek is downhill, and the trail passes through dense forests and small villages before reaching Siding Village. You’ll spend the night at a teahouse in the village.
After breakfast, you’ll trek to Lumre, where you’ll meet your vehicle for the drive back to Pokhara. You’ll have the rest of the day to explore Pokhara and relax.
You’ll drive back to Kathmandu, where you’ll have some free time to shop for souvenirs and explore the city. In the evening, you’ll attend a farewell dinner with your guide and team members.
You’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure flight back home.
The best time to go for the Mardi Himal Trek is during the spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) seasons when the weather is dry and clear, and the views are spectacular. However, the trek can also be done during the winter and monsoon seasons, but the weather can be unpredictable, and the trail can be muddy and slippery.
Spring is characterized by relatively stable weather conditions with clear skies and excellent visibility. The chances of precipitation are lower compared to other seasons, reducing the risk of rain or snow during the trek. Fall is portrayed by dry and stable atmospheric conditions. The skies are by and large clear, giving astounding perceivability and all-encompassing perspectives on the mountains.
