Overview

The next day, you visit Kathmandu Valley. Immerse yourself in UNESCO Sites, and streets of Thamel, while preparing yourself for the satisfying trek ahead.
The trek starts with a pleasant drive to Jagat and is marked by stunning nature scenery as trekkers pass through lush forests, terracing fields, and sweet small hamlets. For the forthcoming days, you will be trekking in a beautiful landscape; starting from Dharapani, you'll trek to Chame, and then you will continue trekking to Upper Pisang. Those steps will keep getting you closer to the majestic Annapurna region. The seventh day will mark your entry in Manang and an extra day dedicated to acclimatization to altitude while enjoying scenic beauty and the local culture. Trek to Yak Kharka and again climb the Thorong-La Pass, where one of the highest points of your journey. Then it's a descent to Muktinath one of the holy places of Hinduism and Buddhism. This adventure further includes driving to Marpha followed by Ghandruk, exposing you to a natural beauty piece of culture. Best Time for Annapurna Circuit Trek
The spring season (from March to May) and autumn season (from September to November) are the most suitable times for trekking the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal. Trekking during spring makes a memorable experience where the weather remains mild, and the horizon clears as flowers bloom throughout the joy. Trekking is in moderate numbers during that time so it can be relaxing and enjoyable.
In autumn, the weather becomes stable, with cooler temperatures and good views of the fantastic Annapurna range. However, it is that time of the year when most people find it - in fact, it is the most crowded season for trekking in which mountains are welcoming.
During the winter months (December to February), trekking is still open, but the cold can get quite severe, and snow will make it difficult to access most peaks. Several trekking routes in the higher altitudes become difficult to trek. For trekking, the monsoon (June to August) tends to experience heavy rain and makes most areas susceptible to landslides.
Therefore, the best time for trekking is between spring and autumn.

Food, Accommodations, and Water during Trek
When one embarks on the journey of trekking, several opportunities for food, accommodation, and water are provided along the path which usually leads to the Annapurna circuit.
The two main styles of eating along the way are tea houses and lodges offering versatile local food like dalBhatt (lentil soup with rice), and momos (dumplings) along with international dishes such as pasta and pizza. In the breakfast menu, oatmeal, pancakes, and eggs are included. Most of the tea houses can cater to special diets, but let them know beforehand of your choice.
Accommodation includes mostly tea houses providing simple bunk houses with common facilities ranging from budget to mid-range. Although such places become comparatively better at lower altitudes, at higher elevations, they may be in quite basic form. Camping is another adventure further east but requires much more planning and equipment.
Water can be treated with purification tablets, or you can filter it to ensure safety from contamination from tap water available in tea houses. Bottled water is available, but it certainly increases plastic waste. Carry a refillable water bottle, and drink a lot during the day; this is very important, especially at high altitudes. The importance of these points may make one's trekking experience enjoyable on the Annapurna Circuit.
Typical day at Trekking
A typical trekking day in the Annapurna Circuit begins as early as 6:00 AM, followed by a hearty breakfast. Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP):
Essential for entering the Annapurna Conservation Area, the natural and cultural conservation area of the region, this permit is available in Kathmandu or Pokhara and costs around NPR 3,000 for foreign visitors.
Trekker's Information Management System (TIMS) Card:
The TIMS card enables tracking of trekkers within the region and it is a must for every trekker. It can be obtained through trekking agencies or at the Nepal Tourism Board offices in Kathmandu or Pokhara. The approximate cost is NPR 2,000 for independent trekkers and NPR 1,000 for those trekking with a registered guide.
Regulations:
Honor Local Culture: Abide by the local customs and behave as the local people do, while visiting any village or religious site. Dress modestly and request permission to take pictures.
Leave No Trace: The patron should practice environmental conservation, carrying all waste and minimizing impacts.
Stay on Designated Trails: Stay confined to demarcated trails for the maintenance of natural landscapes, and to refrain from disturbing local wildlife.
Join Trekking Groups: Independent trekking is allowed; however, it's often safer and merrier with a guide or within a group.
