Good to Know
Best time for Kathmandu Valley Tour
The Kathmandu Valley is characterized by its evergreen landscape, which remains relatively unaffected by varying weather conditions. However, it is advisable to plan visits during the periods of March to June and September to January. Helicopter flights are suspended during the rainy season, and many sightseeing locations can become damp, making this time of year less favorable for travel. The optimal seasons for exploring Nepal are Autumn and Spring. In the Spring season, the blooming flowers, particularly the vibrant red rhododendrons, enhance the beauty of the Himalayan jungles, while snow-covered mountains are distinctly visible. Conversely, Autumn follows the monsoon period, providing clear blue skies and a picturesque view of cultivated lands. In conclusion, based on our travel recommendations, Spring and Autumn represent the most favorable times for a luxurious tour of the Kathmandu Valley.
Cultural and Historical Sites During Kathmandu Valley Tour
Kathmandu Valley is often referred to as "The City of Temples." There are hundreds of both known and unknown temples in this region. Nepal was ruled by kings until 2007 A.D., and during their reign, the kings were often regarded as incarnations of Lord Vishnu. This belief led to the construction of many temples dedicated to various gods and goddesses. In the Kathmandu Durbar Square alone, there are over 20 Hindu temples, highlighting the area's significance and cultural richness.
